Description

Sets the trunking format for switch ports.

Sample Output

The following example sets the trunking option for the second
switch port on the module in slot 3 and switch ports 7 through 11
on the module in slot 5 of an Avaya Multiservice switch to the IEEE
standard.

<configure># set port trunking-format 3/2,5/7-11 ieee-
802.1Q

Port trunking-format set: 3/2,5/7,5/8,5/9,5,10,5/11

Name

Definition

mod-num

Specifies the number of the module where the trunking
mode is to be set for each switch port on the module.

mod-swport-range

Specifies a range of switch ports whose trunking mode is to
be set.

clear

Specifies the trunking option, which does no VLAN tagging.

ieee-802.1Q

Specifies the IEEE 802.1Q ethernet VLAN tagging trunking
option.

multi-layer

Specifies a widely available proprietary VLAN tagging
trunking option.

3com

Specifies the 3Com VLAN tagging trunking option.
