Product Description 1-7

1. Set the node address to a unique ID on the network (0 to 63).

(Default is set to 63.)
For Enhanced DeviceNet V2, there is an additional setting of 64.
Node address 64 enables remotely settable node addressing.
RSNetWorx for DeviceNet may be used to configure the node
address of the Powermonitor II in this manner. Furthermore,
client devices which support the DeviceNet Offline Connection
Set can be used with Powermonitor II(s) set to this mode to
automatically identify with duplicate node addresses and will
automatically reassign the node address of the offending
node(s).

2. Set the baud rate to the proper rate for the network (either 125K,

250K, or 500K).
For Enhanced DeviceNet V2, you can select AutoBaud.
AutoBaud allows the Powermonitor II to automatically adjust to
the prevailing baud rate of the DeviceNet network. Program
baud (PGM) enables remote baud rate selection. RSNetWorx for
DeviceNet may be used to configure the baud rate of the
Powermonitor II in this manner.

3. (Optional) Set the bus-off interrupt behavior. A bus off interrupt

occurs when on e of the communication cards detects a
condition that might cause communication errors on the
network (such as a station with an improper baud rate coming
on-line). The Powermonitor II can be set to either “Reset and
Continue” or “Hold in Reset”.

IMPORTANT

The node address of the Powermonitor II must not
conflict with the node address of any other device
on the network.

IMPORTANT

Setting this number to an improper value can cause
the entire DeviceNet network to stop functioning.
