Saving and Recalling User Settings

User Settings From SUP Files

User settings can be saved to the internal drive or to a CF card. Save and recall user setup fi les
in the Setup Menu option QUICK SETUP. User setups are saved as binary fi les with the name
788T.SUP

and are located in the SOUNDDEV folder of the select media.

User Settings From WAV Files

User settings are automatically written within WAV fi les recorded post fi rmware revision 2.18. Re-
calling a select fi le’s setup can be done in one of two places, from the Take List or the Drive Directory.
To recall settings from a recent take follow the settings below.

1. Enter the Take List and highlight the desired take.

2. Press the soft EDIT (PLAY) key to enter the Take Edit Menu.

3. Select Load Sett ings from the list and press the soft Check Mark (TONE) key.

4. Confi rm Load Sett ings by pressing the soft Check Mark (TONE) key. Cancel Load Sett ings by

pressing the soft X (BRIGHTNESS) key.

The Take List only recalls the last 100 takes. If the fi le you wish to recall settings from is older than
that, use the Drive Directory. To recall settings from a fi le in the Drive Directory follow the settings
below.

1. Enter the Drive Directory by pressing the HDD butt on twice.

2. Highlight the desired fi le.

3. Press the soft OPTIONS (FAST FORWARD) key to enter the File Options Menu.

4. Select Load Sett ings and press the soft Check Mark (TONE) key.

5. Confi rm Load Sett ings by pressing the soft Check Mark (TONE) key. Cancel Load Sett ings by

pressing the soft X (BRIGHTNESS) key.

Scene Names, Track Names, Folder Options, Sound Report fi elds, Meter Scales, and Keyboard Shortcuts
entered by the user, are not saved in the
788T.SUP fi le nor are they stored in the WAV fi le. This informa-
tion is stored on the primary drive in the
SOUNDDEV folder.

Setup Menu Shortcuts

The Setup Menu can be quickly navigated by using the Rotary Switch to scroll up and down through
the menu. Additionally, shortcuts, or “bread crumbs” can be placed on often-used menu items. A
bread crumb is set by holding the PLAY key. A small dot is shown to the left of the Setup Menu num-
