Type the number of the function you want to change, and press Enter. Once the settings have
been entered, select 12 and press Enter to begin or end testing. Press Esc to return to the
Diagnostics screen.
Configuration items are as follows:
1. To IP Address Enter the remote agent IP Address.
2. From IP Address Select the originating IP address that the 9145E will place into the
test packets. Press the Space bar to select Auto Selection, Management IP, Test IP, or
Aux IP.
The Auto Selection setting will start first with the Test IP. If the To IP Address is in the Test
Network Subnet, the Test IP will be used in the packet. If the Test IP is not available or the
To IP Address is not in the Test Network Subnet, the Aux IP is checked. If the Aux IP is
not available or the To IP Address is not the Aux Network Subnet, the Manager IP is
used. Any address can be used with the Manager IP since it has access to the Default
Gateway.
If the From IP Address is specified as the Test IP or the Aux IP, and the To IP Address is
not located in the matching subnet, the destination is unreachable. An error message is
displayed when the Start Test command is given. If the From IP Address is specified as
the Manager IP, the VLAN will be specified management VLAN in the IP/SNMP setting. If
in addition, tunnel In-band management is enabled, all latency and jitter packets will be
double tagged from the NID.
