can add additional Test Addresses, edit Addresses, or delete Test Distribution Connections. This
screen provides a snapshot of the status of the connections. Use the Refresh key to obtain the
most current status.
The Network Performance Test Distribution screen lists information about and options to set up
hosts to receive test results. Use the hosts that you set up on the Host Access Table for
accessing the system. Information for each host includes the IP Address, current state (enabled
or disabled), the most recent error (if one occurred), and the total number of results sent,
acknowledged, or lost.
1. To configure test distribution, on the Network Performance screen, type 3 and press
Enter. The Network Performance Test Distribution screen (Figure 4-23) opens.

2. To add a test distribution, type A and press Enter. The Network Performance
Distribution Connection Setup screen (Figure 4-24) opens.
3. Type an IP Address that identifies the NID for which you want to define a Test Distribution
and press Enter.
4. Press the Space bar to select a State that indicates whether the NID is Enabled or
Disabled and press Enter.
5. In the Description field, type information (up to 20 characters) on the Test Distribution and
press Enter.
6. In the Retries field type the number of times (1-10) the system will resend a packet to a
NID that does not acknowledge receipt of the packet and press Enter. Retries works in
conjunction with the Timeout feature.
7. In the Timeout field, type the number of seconds (1-10) the server will wait for an
acknowledgement from a NID before executing a retry and press Enter. Timeout works in
conjunction with the Retries feature such that the server will stop then restart any session
to a NID once these values are reached.
