Performance > Profile. Type A then press Enter. Select Measurement Setup then

5. Include out-of-sequence packets in Latency/Jitter determines whether packets

received out-of-sequence have their Latency and Jitter values recorded in the test result
record. If you select Yes as the option, packets will be counted as out-of-sequence (OOS)
and included in the round-trip counter in both cases. If you select No, OOS packets are
classified as dropped.

6. Minimum Payload Size (40-1954) defines the minimum number of bytes in a test packet.

The scheduler will integrally send test packets from the minimum packet size to the
maximum packet size if they are different. This is done by mapping the packets to be sent
onto the range of sizes between the minimum and maximum packet sizes. The minimum
packet size must be equal to or less than the maximum packet size.

7. Maximum Payload Size (40-1954) defines the maximum number of bytes in a test

packet. Maximum payload size must be equal to or greater than the minimum payload
size. The scheduler will integrally send test packets from the minimum packet size to the
maximum packet size if they are different. This is done by mapping the packets to be sent
onto the range of sizes between the minimum and maximum packet sizes. The maximum
packet size must be equal to or greater than the minimum packet size.

8. Jitter Packet Interval defines the interval between packets used to perform Jitter

calculations. For example, if you set the Jitter Interval Packet to 5, then packets 1 and 5
are used to compute Jitter as are packets 2 and 6, and so on. Options are 1-20.

9. CPM State indicates if Continuous Performance Monitoring is Enabled or Disabled.

When Enabled, CPM uses this field, the CPM Duration field from this screen, and the
SAM parameters to perform CPM tests for any Test Address associated with this Profile if
SAM is also enabled. If the CPM State is Disabled, no CPM processing will be performed
for any Test Address associated with this Test Profile.

Type 9 and press Enter to configure CPM State (Figure 4-18). The cursor will appear in
the CPM State field. Press the Space bar to Enable or Disable. Press Enter to validate
your choice.

The cursor will move to the CPM packets in Unavailable Period field. Use the Space bar
to select Included or Excluded:

If you select Included, the result for CPM unavailable will appear in the PM Test

Results Screen.

If you select Excluded, the result for CPM unavailable will not appear in the PM Test

Results Screen.

Press Enter to validate your selection.

The cursor will move to the CCPM Y.1731 Mode Test Method field. Use the Space bar to
select SLM and DMM or SLM with OUI:

If you select SLM and DMM, the CPM test will send SLM and DMM packets to the

remote NID test.

If you select SLM with OUI, the CPM test will send only SLM packets to the remote

NID test.

Press Enter to validate your selection. The main Profile Setup screen appears (Figure 4-
17
).
