• Anonymous on/off setting
The "Anonymous" menu item sets the anonymous On/Off.
By selecting "Anonymous" and pressing the [ENTER/YES] key, the current setting
is shown (by default, "On"). While the DV824 is connected to a PC and used as an
FTP server, if "Anonymous" is set to "On", you do not need to set the login name
and password.
After selecting "On" or "Off" using the [MENU] dial, press the [ENTER/YES] key to
confirm the setting.
• Login name/password setting
The "Login name" menu item sets the login name (user name) and password.
Using the Login name and the Password set in this menu item, you can log in from
an FTP client application. By default, both "Login name" and "Password" fields are
blank. In this condition, you can log in. By selecting "Login name" and pressing
the [ENTER/YES] key, the display shows the screen for setting the login name and
password (by default, both fields are blank).
By pressing the [ENTER/YES] key again, you can now edit the login name.
After entering the desired name using the [MENU] dial (or alphanumeric keys),
press the [ENTER/YES] key to confirm the setting. Now you can enter the pass-
word. Enter the desired password in the similar way as above, and press the [EN-
TER/YES] key to confirm the setting.
• TCP/IP Enable mode on/off setting
The "TCP/IP Enable" menu item selects FTP commands enabled ("On") or dis-
abled ("Off"). By selecting "TCP/IP Enable" and pressing the [ENTER/YES] key, the
current setting ("On" or "Off") is shown (by default, "On").
After selecting "On" or "Off" using the [MENU] dial, press the [ENTER/YES] key to
confirm the setting.
• Mac address checking
The MAC (Machine Access Control) address can be checked but not changed.
By selecting "MAC address" and pressing the [ENTER/YES] key, the MAC address
assigned to the DV824 is shown. It can be checked but not changed.
Press the [EXIT/NO key to exit the screen for showing the MAC address.
