Fasten the four captive screws on the heat sink (screw torque: 0.6 Nm, not
applicable for the Japanese market).

Ê

Connect the CPU fan cable to the system board connector FAN1.

Replacing the processor

CAUTION!

Processors are extremely sensitive to electrostatic discharge and must
be handled with care. After a processor has been removed from its
protective sleeve or from its socket, place it upside down on a
nonconducting, antistatic surface. Never push a processor over a
surface.

11.3.1 Required tools

Preliminary and concluding steps: tool-less

Removing and installing the processor heat sink:

– Phillips PH2 / (+) No. 2 screw driver

Removing and installing the processor: tool-less

Field Replaceable Units (FRU)

Average hardware task duration: 15 minutes

Average software task duration: 5 minutes
