Side Panel Features

The side panel features with all connections completed is shown in Figure 1-4 and
Figure 1-5.

CAUTION: Equipment Damage

Connect only to other Xanbus compatible devices. Although the cabling and
connectors used in this network system are the same as Ethernet connectors, this
network is not an Ethernet system
. Equipment damage may result from
attempting to connect two different systems.

Table 1-3 Description of Side Panel Features

Feature

Description

AC knockout provides access for AC input and AC output wiring (shown with strain-relief clamp
installed). There are four knockouts on the unit: two on the front and two on the side.

2, 6, 9

Mounting flanges are used for mounting the unit. A total of six flanges are on the unit.

Echo Charger connector provides connection to the engine battery. Typically, this will be an engine
starting battery or an auxiliary battery for loads other than the inverter.

Battery temperature sensor jack provides connection for the battery temperature sensor.

Dual network jacks provide connection for network-enabled devices. (The number of connections
depends on your layout. Your connections may not be the same as shown here.)
