The play-lists constructed, using the Play-List Editor, differ from conventional XT

clip-lists in that they can:

contain both clips and sections from record trains (either live or delayed).

be programmed to run to match on-air schedules

be constructed in an off-line state without the requirement to use XT channels.

Note

It is because not only clips can be included in a play-list made in Play-

List Editor that included items are referred to as Elements.

6.2 THE MENU BAR

The View menu allows the user to define which zones are visible in the Play-List

Editor window, ticking the check box next to any of the panel types displays or
hides the Panel. The Explorer panel also has a sub menu allowing filters to be
displayed or hidden.

With the filters option checked another section of the mini database area is
opened to allow the additional use of filters in the database. Please refer to the

Mini Database Explorer chapter for more information on the use of a Mini
Database Explorer.

Note

The optional play-list code needs to be activated as an option in the
XSecure Manager for the preview panel to be made active from the view

menu.

6.3 THE EXPLORER

The Explorer zone is a Mini Database Explorer, as described in the Database

Explorer chapter, except this zone also includes the possibility to select play-lists
in the Display Options area.
