6.8 THE PREVIEW CONTROL PANEL

The preview control panel is used to preview clips or trains or play-list elements,
in order to trim them on a different channel than the one that the play-list is being
played to air from. The Preview option will not be present in the ’View’ menu of
the play-list editor if the ‘play-list’ code is not activated.

The preview panel has mostly the same interactivity and functions as the
traditional control panel. Refer to the Control Panel chapter of the user’s manual
for more information.

The differences are that there are:

Options especially for using the panel within the Play-List Editor to allow for
direct insertion to the play-list and modification of a clip already placed in the

list.

Any modifications to a clip are applied only to the clip in the play-list and not to

the original clip in the database.

If a train is loaded on the PRV control panel, it is possible to also create a clip

in the panel.
