Operations Required for Devices to Be Managed by HDLM

Before performing an upgrade installation or re-installation of HDLM, you

must unmount the HDLM devices that correspond to HDLM-managed devices,

and then back up the HDLM-managed devices.

Terminate the processes of all applications that access the disks managed

by HDLM.
