Fitting electric components
Warning
S Use only power units which guarantee reliable isolation of the operating
voltages as per IEC 742/EN 60742/VDE 0551 with at least 4 kV isolation
resistance (Protected Extra−Low Voltage, PELV).
Switch power packs are permited providing they guarantee reliable isolation
as per EN 60950/VDE 0805.
Please note
Strong magnetic fields in the immediate vicinity of the linear module (e.g. with
welding systems) will cause permanet magnetization of the ferromagnetic
parts. As a consequence, the switching points of the proximity switches will be
permanently shifted.
S Make sure that the product is screened against strong electromagnetic
interference (e.g. with a transformer plate).
Please note
S Use only proximity switches with the same switch output (e.g. only positive−
switching proximity switches ć PNP).
S Avoid using positive and negative−switching proximity switches together.
Preliminary fitting of the proximity switches:
1. Remove the housing cover 2 (unscrew
the quick−acting locking screws by a
quarter of a turn).
2. Remove the screws from the end cover 9
(only HMP−...−EL).
3. Pull the end cover down from the metal
suport (only HMP−...−EL). Fig. 16
