Connecting the end module HMP−...−EL:
1. Connect the proximity switch to the
terminal strip 6 (check polarity of
proximity switch).
2. Pull the plug away for the common cable
away from the plug socket.
3. Remove approx. 6 mm of the insulation
from the cores of the common cable.
4. Connect the plug to the common cable. Fit
the plug so that the sensor cores are not
squashed.
5. Push the plug onto the connector socket
again.
6. Fasten the common cable to the metal support with the aid of the cable binder
(strain relief ).
7. Fasten the end cover 9 with the screws provided.
Fit the protective cable tube on the end cover
type HMP−...−AD/−E L as follows:
1. Select the cable exit opening above or
below.
2. Remove the locking cap.
The plug−in module plate remains in
position.
3. Fasten the screw connector with a lock nut (see Accessories).
4. Pass the pneumatic tubing and the common electric cable through the screw
connector and the protective cable tube (see Accessories).
5. Push the protective cable tube into the connector socket.
In each case the protective cable tube may only be bent or stretched within the
permitted limits (see chapter Technical data).
