4-Wire RTD Configuration
Wiring Resistance Devices (Potentiometers)
Potentiometer wiring requires the same type of cable as that for the RTDs
described on page 3-37. Potentiometers can be connected to the module as a
2-wire or 3-wire connection as shown on page 3-42.
2-Wire Potentiometer Interconnection
TIP The potentiometer wiper arm can be connected to either
the EXC or return terminal depending on whether you
want increasing or decreasing resistance.
