GV3000/SE Drive Version 6 Regulator Board Installation Instructions

Step 3.5. Disconnect the green-striped ribbon cable from the Regulator board. This

cable is located on the right side of the drive. To disconnect this cable, insert
a small screwdriver inside the cable loop and press in on the retaining clip in
the center of the connector while pulling out the connector. See figure 8.5.

Step 3.6. Loosen the two screws from the top of the hinged mounting panel on which

the keypad bracket is mounted. Tilt the mounting panel forward out of the
drive chassis.

Step 3.7. Disconnect the Regulator board’s 60-conductor ribbon cable from the

Power Module Interface Board. The ribbon cable runs from the top of the
Regulator board through a slot in the hinged mounting panel to the Power
board on the other side.

The connector on the Power board is held in place by retaining clips.
Spread these clips to release the connector. Slip the ribbon cable out of the
slot to free it from the mounting panel.

Step 3.8. 100 to 150 HP drives only: Remove the Power Module Interface board from

the back of the hinged mounting panel. The board is held in place by eight
plastic standoffs. Pinch the top of each standoff with a pair of needle-nosed
pliers and carefully pop the board off the standoff. Note for later
reinstallation that two of the standoffs have metal grounding contacts.

Step 3.9. 100 to 150 HP drives only: Tie the Power Module Interface board

temporarily out of the way with a tie wrap or small piece of wire. Pass the
wire or tie wrap through one of the mounting holes in the board and around
a convenient fastening point, such as a wire harness.

Step 3.10. Use a magnetic screwdriver to remove the four screws and lock washers

that fasten the keypad bracket to the hinged mounting panel. Hold the
keypad bracket as you remove the screws.
