CAUTION: You must adjust your aircraft’s center of gravity and balance your model properly before attempting
fl ights.

•CENTER OF GRAVITY
An important part of preparing the aircraft for fl ight is properly balancing the model.
1. Attach the wing panels to the fuselage. Make sure to connect the leads from the aileron to the appropriate leads from the
receiver. Make sure the leads are not exposed outside the fuselage before tightening the wing bolts. Your model should be
fl ight-ready before balancing.
2. The recommended Center of Gravity (CG) location for your model is 3 3 /
4
inches (95mm) back from the leading edge of the
wing at the wing root as shown. Mark the location of the CG on the top of the wing. The Center of Gravity range for your model
is 3

–4 inches (89–100mm) back from the leading edge of the wing near the fuselage.
3. When balancing your model, make sure it is assembled and ready for fl ight. Support the plane inverted at the marks made
on the wing with your fi ngers or a commercially available balancing stand. This is the correct balance point for your model.
Î The full-scale F4U-1A Corsair used a very heavy radial for power. In order to maintain a scale outline,
this model will require the addition of nose weight to acheive the recommended forward CG for the first
flights. Later, you can begin to move the CG back as you become more familiar with the model.
Î When balancing your model with retracts, the Center of Gravity will shift between the UP and
DOWN positions. Make sure to balance your model with the retracts in the UP position.
•DER SCHWERPUNKT
Ein sehr wichtiger Teil in der Flugvorbereitung ist es das Flugzeug richtig auszubalancieren.
1. Montieren Sie Tragfl ächen am Rumpf. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Querruderservoanschlüsse in die richtigen Buchsen am
Empfänger gesteckt sind. Achten Sie darauf, dass keine Kabel zwischen Rumpf und Fläche herausschauen. Das Modell sollte
vor dem Balancieren fl ugfertig ausgerüstet sein.
2. Der empfohlene Schwerpunkt (CG) des Modells befi ndet sich 95mm von der Tragfl ächenvorderkante nach hinten
gemessen. Markieren Sie die Position auf der Tragfl äche. Der Bereich des Schwerpunktes bewegt sich bei 89- 100mm an der
Tragfl ächenwurzel von der Vorderkante von vorne nach hinten gemessen.
3. Das Modell sollte vor dem Ausbalancieren fl ugfertig ausgerüstet sein. Stellen Sie das ungedrehte Flugzeug mit den
Markierungen auf dem Flügel auf Ihre Fingerspitzen oder einen im Handel erhältlichen Balancierständer. Dies ist der richtige
Balancepunkt für Ihr Modell.
Î Die F4U-1A Corsair Originalmaschine verwendet einen einen sehr schweren Radialmotor als
Antrieb. Damit beim Modell auch der Scaleeindruck und korrekte Schwerpunkt für die ersten Flüge
erhalten bleibt, müssen Sie in Gewicht in die Front des Flugzeugs bringen. Haben Sie sich später mit
dem Modell vertraut gemacht können Sie den Schwerpunkt etwas weiter zurück nehmen.
Î Bei dem Balancieren des Modell variiert der Schwerpunkt etwas mit eingefahrem oder
ausgefahrenem Fahrwerk. Stellen Sie den Schwerpunkt mit eingefahrenem Fahrwerk ein.
