Section 1: Introduction
The purpose of this manual is to assist in the installation and operation of StatVision™ for Baseball
application. The manual is divided into the following main sections:
 Introduction covers the basic information about the program and this manual. Take time to
read the entire introduction as it explains concepts used throughout the manual.
 Installation describes the installation procedures of the StatVision application.
 Setup explains the necessary configurations to gather and output Real-Time Data (RTD).
 Pregame Operation and In-game Operation detail the specific operation of the software.
 Appendix at the end of this manual contains information pertaining to specific protocols and
setting up display sequences.
Daktronics identifies manuals by the ED or DD number located on the cover page of each manual.
For example, this manual would be referred to as ED-17506.
1.1 Software Overview
StatVision significantly reduces pre-game preparation by instantly analyzing the large
amounts of data from sources such as DakStats, MLB.com, and Elias Sports Bureau. The data
is pulled up in easy to use categories (Figure 1). Positive categories are highlighted for the
user and can be sent to a display with the press of a button.
