Introduction

The StatVision program is a tool to gather data from other software and present it in a way
that is easy to select what to display. Below is a diagram of how the many pieces fit together.








1. GameDay downloads the latest stats and standings and creates the day’s game in DakStats.
2. DakStats sends game-in-progress (GIP) data to the Daktronics Scoring-Timing Interface

(DSTI), which in turn is sent to StatVision.

3. StatVision displays the GIP data from DakStats and can request more detailed statistics

based on the current situation from a shared database. StatVision sends this data and
various control commands to the Daktronics display controller.

1.3 Software Conventions

This manual contains the following software conventions and terminology:

Bold

Indicates an item that requires direct action, such as clicking, pressing,
selecting or formatting.

Italics

Indicates onscreen text or labels that are not clickable.

Bold Italics

Used to reference items within the manual, such as figures or sections, as
well as other documents and important notes.

[X]

Represents a keyboard key that needs to be pressed.

“Quotes”

Text or commands that may be typed. Quotes also indicate folder names.
