6. I) Ext Numbering Plan—Ask your NSP for their external

numbering plan. Your choices are “Unknown”, “ISDN-E.164”,
“Telephone-E.163”, or “Private”.

7. U) Ext Numbering Type—Ask your NSP for their number type

(usually National). Your choices are “Unknown”,
“International”, “National”, or “Local”.

8. C) Ext No. of Digits—The number of digits in the external

phone number (1 through 15). If the number is smaller than
the length of an existing string associated below, you will be
prompted to confirm whether or not you want to truncate the
string. If the response to the prompt is Y, the associated string
will be truncated; otherwise, the length will not be accepted.

9. P) Ext Call Number—Enter the external phone number being

called (The number you are calling). If the entered string
exceeds the associated length as specified above, the string
will be truncated. On incoming calls, this number is the CLID
or SID. For outgoing calls, this is the dialed number and will be
delivered as DNIS at the receiving end.

10. T) Transfer Mode—If either or both ends of the ISDN circuit

have AMI, choose “Restricted” transfer mode and “56K” for the
rate adaption. If both ends are B8ZS, choose “Unrestricted”
and “None” for the rate adaption. (Ask your NSP).

11. B) Call Bandwidth—For Multirate ISDN, set “Call Bandwidth”

option to “Multirate”. Select the desired number of multirate
channels, up to 24. Otherwise, you have the option of B1=64K.

12. M) Multirate Count—Select the desired number of multirate

channels, up to 24.

13. A) Rate Adaption—If either or both ends of the ISDN circuit

have AMI, and “Restricted” transfer mode has been selected,
choose “56K” for the rate adaption. If both ends are B8ZS, and
“Unrestricted” transfer mode has been selected, choose
“None” for the rate adaption. Rate adaption is different from
restricted or unrestricted mode.

14. E) Test Call Interval (min.)—Set the interval time for test calls.

Choose 0, and this feature is disabled. DO NOT use test calls.

15. S) Send Call Profile—Select this option to

SET

the parameters

you have chosen in the previous steps. If you do not select this
option before exiting the PRI Port n Add Call Profile Menu,
the parameters will NOT be set.

16. Repeat this set of procedures for EACH call profile you intend

to have.
