Changing printer configuration

This section describes how to change the printer configuration in the configuration display
area.

Changing from single to duplex configuration:

To change from single to duplex configuration, select the printer from the Device List and drag
the printer icon displayed in the device display area in either of the directions of the arrows in
the figure below. To reflect the change, select [Setting].

When using two printers (duplex printing system), the data input and job operation functions of
the upstream printer are used. Be careful when setting the configuration.

Changing from duplex to single configuration:

To change from duplex to single configuration, select the printer from the Device List, and drag
and drop the printer icon in the device display area onto the recycle box icon. To reflect the
change, select [Setting].

The printer being operated cannot be removed.

Setting can be changed only when there is no active job and the upstream/downstream
printer is paused.

Setting change to the single configuration can be done during job processing or while the
upstream/downstream printer is in pause.

Make sure that the <Multi>/<Single> switch on the power panel is set to <single> when
changing from the duplex to the simplex printing system.
