Barcode Fine Adjustment
This section describes how to modify Finely Adjust Barcode displayed on the IPDS Attachment
Information screen. The module width and gap width of the single dimensional barcode can be
subject to fine adjustment in dot units (1/600 dpi). Fine adjustment may vary with each
barcode type. The adjustable barcode types are shown below.
• X'01' Code 39 (3-of-9 Code), AIM USS-39
• X'02' MSI (modified Plessey code)
• X'03' UPC/CGPC.Version A
• X'05' UPC/CGPC.Version E
• X'06' UPC.Two-digit Supplemental (Periodicals)
• X'07' UPC.Five-digit Supplemental (Paperbacks)
• X'08' EAN-8 (includes JAN-short)
• X'09' EAN-13 (includes JAN-standard)
• X'0A' Industrial 2-of-5
• X'0B' Matrix 2-of-5
• X'0C' Interleaved 2-of-5, AIM USS-I 2/5
• X'0D' Codabar, 2-of-7, AIM USS-Codabar
• X'11' Code 128, AIM USS-128

Select [Edit] to display the Barcode Fine Adjustment screen.
• Close: Closes the screen without setting the information.
• OK: Closes the screen after setting the information.
• Bar Width: Sets the bar width of the barcode. Select the setting value from the pull-down
menu. Any of the three values (-1, 0, +1) may be set.
• Gap Width: Set the width between bars (gap) in the barcode. Select the setting value from
the pull-down menu. Any of the three values (-1, 0, +1) may be set.
