Operating buttons

The buttons in this section are used to operate the printer. If a button is inactive, it will display
as grayed out.

User permissions

The following are the different user types that can use this system and their permissions are
listed.

General User: Allowed for daily operations such as system startup and job confirmation.
The usable functions are the most limited among four user classes.

Operator: Allowed for most operations excluding some operations including password
setting.

System Administrator: Allowed for operations for most menus, including system
installation and setting.

Maintenance: Provided exclusively for Xerox service personnel.

Power Off

Turns the printer power off.

Eject

Ejects paper. This button is available when the printer is
stopped. Depressing the button for three seconds or more
allows you to change the paper ejection method.

For information on changing the paper ejection method, see
the Printer Operator Guide.

Cancel

Cancels the printing job in progress. The Cancel button is
valid when printing is stopped by the Stop button.

Paper Setting

Select this option to set or load paper. This option may be
used when the printer status is Not Ready.

Reset

Select this option when an error requiring resetting occurs.
The error is reset.

Stop

Suspends the print operation. This option is available when
the printer status is Idle, Printing, or Ejecting.
Select this button to change the printer status to Paused.

Start

Starts printing. The Start option can be used only when the
printer is in temporary stopped state without an error in the
printer.
