Faulted Jobs

Use Restarting a Fault Job to restart a job that has failed during printing. A possible reason
would be an error like paper jam that requires printer recovery.

Handling Fault Job

Printing can be restarted when the printer is ready for printing. Otherwise, printing will fail when
restarting is instructed.

When Print Continuously is selected, the job is printed from the page next to the already printed
page.

The physical page number displayed as the starting page number and output page number is
always an even number in case of duplex printing. If an even re-output page number is set,
printing occurs from the front page.

This screen is not displayed for jobs in IPDS data format.

Close: The screen is closed without fault job restart setting.

OK: The specified fault job operation occurs.

Fault page information: The information on fault page appears.

Restart Printing: Select when continued printing is desired. The physical page position
where the printing is restarted can be specified.

Print Continuously: Printing restarts from the page next to the finally printed one.

Physical Page Specification: The page number appearing as the physical page is the
number of printed pages completed before an error occurred and not the number of pages
correctly eliminated from the printer. Therefore, it is necessary to restart printing in
succession with the correctly eliminated pages. Printing restarts from the front side of the
page specified here.
The page number displayed equals the printing completed page number.

Interrupt Printing (Hold): Select this to hold a job.

Cancel Printing (Delete): The job being printed is terminated. The job is cancelled from
registration in the queue, and the job data on the spool is deleted.

The job is interrupted in fault status. To restart the job after closing the fault job restart screen,
select and operate the job in the Active Job list.
