Select whether the connector is shielded or not and press
Next.

Select the performance grade of the connector if known and
press OK.

The Autotest Setup screen displays, with the new

connector type next to the connector icon.

Choosing the Cable Pairing Convention

To identify the correct pair in the test results, the FrameScope
must be told what cable pairing convention is used. For
example, if the 3,6 pair fails a test, it would be “Pair 2” if using
T568A pairing, but it would be “Pair 3” if using T568B pairing.

On the Autotest Setup screen, press Cable Pairing, then press Edit.
The Cable Pairing Setup screen displays.

Press the cable pairing convention used on the job, then press OK.
The Autotest Setup screen displays, with the cable pairing convention
named.
