Vertical Card

The Vertical card displays information about the currently selected
horizontal projection method. If the selected projection method has
not yet been set up, many of the fields in this screen will be blank.

The buttons on the Vertical card will vary depending on the type of
horizontal projection selected. This is set using the Projection
Settings screen (Page R-10).

All of the possible buttons and their corresponding screens are
explained below, categorized by the selected vertical projection type.

Localization (+Geoid)

The Vertical tab of the Projection screen is explained below for when
the vertical projection type is set to

Localization (+Geoid)

.

Status Line

: The lines of text on the top of the screen display the

status of the vertical projection solution. Status will be:

Geoid Modeling

: A geoid model is selected

for this zone and used to transform GPS
heights to local elevations.

Vertical localization with geoid model

. A

geoid model is used to transform heights to
elevations, and a localization adjustment is
used to transform to local elevations.

Localization vertical transform

A localization

adjustment is used to transform GPS
heights to local elevations.

No Vertical Transform

. No vertical

adjustment is applied. Elevations will be local ellipsoid heights.

6KRZ 'HWDLOV« : opens the Projection Details screen, where the

complete details of the map projection, geoid model, and horizontal
and vertical adjustments are displayed.
