The AXIS MIB The AXIS MIB includes a large number of objects that can be categorized as
follows:
• Menu objects - used for viewing and changing the StorPoint CD
configuration from the NMS program.
• Status and administration objects - used for monitoring the StorPoint CD
and storing parameter settings.
• Trap objects - used for alarm at various error conditions.
To add the AXIS MIB to your NMS software:
1. Get the MIB file from the following location:
ftp://ftp.axis.com/pub/axis/software/cd_srv/utility/mib/
2. Install the AXIS MIB according to instructions in your NMS software
documentation.
For technical details, view the MIB file axis_cd.mib using a text editor.
SNMP Settings To configure your StorPoint CD for SNMP:
1. Start your Web browser and enter the name or IP address of the StorPoint
CD in the location/address field.
2. Click admin. You will be prompted for the Server password. By default, this
is set to pass . To change the server password, see “Server Password” on page 24.
3. Click Network Settings.
4. Click Detailed View .
5. Select the SNMP tab.
6. Specify the settings, and click OK.
