3. Use a standard text editor such as Notepad to edit the configuration

parameters. From Windows Explorer or File Manager, locate the StorPoint
CD configuration file,

config.ini

which is located in the

System/ServerProperties

folder.

4. Enter the appropriate settings for these parameters:

TimeZone

=

Must be set to the correct time zone that the StorPoint CD is
operating in. See “Time Zone Parameter Values” on page 122.

TimeSyncSource

= NDS

Set to NDS to enable the StorPoint CD to get its time from
the NetWare network.

[NetWare]

NWEnable

= yes

Enables NetWare support.

IPXEnable

= yes

Set to yes to enable the IPX protocol.

NetWareIP_Enable

= no

Enables NCP over IPX/UDP (NetWare/IP).

PureIPEnable

= yes

Set to yes to enble PureIP for non-TCP/IP networks.

ServerName

=

NetWare server name to be presented to the NetWare
clients. Default is AXIS<nnnnnn>_NW where nnnnnn are the
last six digits of the serial number.

NDSEnable

= yes

Must be set to yes to enable the NDS login.

NDSTreeName

=

The name of the tree where you want to install the StorPoint
CD, e.g. MEDCORP

NDSServerContext

=

The distinguished name of the context in the NDS tree where
you want to install the StorPoint CD, e.g.
Manufacturing.Medtec

NDSAdminName

=

The distinguished name of a user or administrator with
Supervisor or Create rights to the context where you want to
install the StorPoint CD, e.g. Admin.Medtec
Note: Do not enter a dot infront of the distinguished name
even if prompted for one.

NDSAdminPassword =

The password of the administrator entered in
NDSAdminName shown above. s

NDSInstall

= install

Change this to install when you are ready to install the
StorPoint CD. The setting forced will overwrite the existing
server object without warning.

NDSRightsStorage

= NDS

Set to NDS to store the access rights in the NDS tree. Set to
File to store the file system access rights in a file on a Netware
server. This is necessary if you do not allow schema
extensions in your NDS tree, or if you do not have Supervisor
access rights. Set to Local to store the access rights locally on
the StorPoint.
