Passwords Make sure the StorPoint CD has been configured to use passwords, see page 73.
By default, all users will have access to all the discs. The system files are protected
by the Server password.
To change the settings:
1. From the Administration Web pages, click Discs & Drives.
2. Locate the volume you want to share in the file tree.
3. Click Properties .
4. Open the Mac Sharing page.
5. You can select whether you want to use the access rights of the disc or the drive
by checking the appropriate radio button. Note that this is a global setting for
all network protocols.
6. Select the Share as radio button, and enter a share name in the Share Name
field.
7. Select the desired password option:
• None - if you do not want to use passwords for protecting the resource.
• Server password - if you want use the Server password for protecting the
resource.
• Other - if you want to specify a password in addition to the Server
password.
8. Click OK.
