Alternative Method

If you do not have Peer for OS/2, you can map the StorPoint CD to a drive
letter using the

net use

command. Follow these steps:

1. Open an OS/2 window.

2. Use the

net use

command to mount the StorPoint CD. At the OS/2 prompt,

type:

net use <drive letter>: \\AXIS<nnnnnn>\<folder>

where <nnnnnn> are the six last digits of your StorPoint CD serial number and

<folder>

is any shared StorPoint CD folder.

3. To make the connections permanent, create or edit your

startup.cmd

file to

include your

net use

commands.

DOS

Follow these steps:

1. At the DOS prompt, type:

where

<nnnnnn>

are the six last digits of your StorPoint CD serial number

and

<folder>

is the StorPoint CD folder you want to map.

2. To make the connections permanent, edit your

autoexec.bat

file to include

your

net use

commands.

Example 1 (Root level access):
To access the root level of your StorPoint CD with serial number
00408C18025C under the drive letter E, type:

Example 2 (Volumes folder access):
If your StorPoint CD serial number is 00408C18025C, and you want to be
able to access all the discs under the drive letter F, type:

Example 3 (Disc access):
If your StorPoint CD serial number is 00408C18025C, and you want to
map a disc named 44018881 to drive G, type:

net use <drive letter>: \\AXIS<nnnnnn>\<folder>

net use <drive letter>: \\<IP address>\<folder>

net use E: \\AXIS18025C\root

net use F: \\AXIS18025C\volumes

net use G: \\AXIS18025C\44018881
