TRIGer Subsystem

The TRIGer subsystem is used to set the controls
and parameters associated with triggering the data
acquisitions. Trigger subsystem is only valid when
the analyzer is in zero span. Other trigger- related
commands are found in the INITiate.

External Trigger Slope

:TRIGer [:SEQuence]:EXTernal:SLOPe
POSitive|NEGative
:TRIGer [:SEQuence]:EXTernal:SLOPe?

This command actives the trigger condition that
allows the next sweep to start when the external
voltage passes through approximately 1.5 volts. The
external trigger signal must be a TTL signal at 0 V
to 5 V. This function only controls the trigger
polarity (for positive or negative- going signals).

Trigger Source

:TRIGer [:SEQuence]:SOURce
IMMediate|VIDeo|EXTernal
:TRIGer [:SEQuence]:SOURce?

This command specifies the source (or type) of
triggering used to start a measurement. Free- run
activates the trigger condition that allows the next
sweep to start immediately after the last sweep.

• Immediate is a free- run triggering

• Video triggers on the video signal level

• External allows you to connect an external

trigger source.
