Description of Features 4-31

1503-UM054C-EN-P – June 2013

The Contactor status LED is off to indicate that the contactor is in an

Open condition and the Contactor status relay is Open to reflect the

status of the contactor thus preventing externally connected circuits

from functioning.

This condition is valid for both Electrically Held and Mechanically

Latched contactors.

Undervoltage with a CLOSE Command Preset

This is a Warning condition and the level of the input mains voltage

should be checked.

This indicates that the Basic module within the IntelliVAC Plus unit

has an input line under-voltage condition while the Close command

is present and the status of the contactor being controlled is in an

Open or Closed condition (dependant on the status of the contactor).

The Module status LED is flashing Yellow to indicate that there is an

under-voltage condition while the Close command is present and the

Module status relay is open, while the under-voltage is present and

closed once the condition is restored.

When a Close command is given and the line voltage is <95Vrms

and the TDUV setting is disabled or set to zero (see TDUV in

Chapter 4) then the Module status LED will flash. This will only

occur when the line voltage is <95Vrms and the Close command is

then applied. In this case the contactor will not even be picked up.

To have the contactor close, the line voltage must increase to

>95Vrms and the Close command must be removed and then

reapplied.

If the TDUV is enabled then the contactor must have been in the

hold state (electrically held contactors), the TDUV time must have

expired and the line voltage must decrease to <80V before the

module status LED flashes yellow. In this case the contactor will

drop out.

The Module status relay will be open if the voltage is still in an

under-voltage condition (<95Vrms without the contactor being

closed or <80Vrms during a hold condition and TDUV time expired)

or it will be closed if the voltage has been restored to >95Vrms.

The Contactor status LED is Yellow or off to indicate that the

contactor is in a Closed or Open condition and the Contactor status

relay is Closed or Open to reflect the status of the contactor thus

allowing or preventing externally connected circuits to function.
