Making a Multi-Track Recording

Initializing the Disk (Drive Initialize)

when the hard disk is initialized, the entire contents of the disk will be

erased. Make sure that the hard disk does not contain data you need to keep.

If necessary, back up the data to the Roland CD recorder, etc.

[PLAY (DISPLAY)].

Press

[SYSTEM]

several times until "SYS Drivelnitialize"

appears in the display.

Press

[YES (ENTER)].

"Init.Drive=" appears in the display.

If you accidentally delete

data that you need, that

data cannot be restored to

its previous condition.

When a single hard disk or

other disk is divided into

partitions,

it is no possible

to initialize only an
individual partition.

The

Drive Initialize operation

will be performed on all

partitions of that disk drive

or other disk.

Rotate the

TIME/VALUE dial

to select the disk drive that you

wish to initialize (IDE, SCSI0-SCSI7).
