Click AFP Option. The AFP Option interface is displayed.

On this interface, you

can activate or deactivate the AFP and set the relevant parameters.

Setting the related parameters covers the following parts:

AFP mode: Two modes are provided: User and Guest. When the AFP
mode is User, the client access requires the user name and password. When
the AFP mode is Guest, no user name and password is required.

MAC coding: Two modes are provided: LOCALE and MAC_ROMAN.

Unix coding: Two modes are provided: LOCALE and ASCII. When the
client reads a file and the illegible characters occur, you can modify the
MAC coding mode to another mode.

Max clients: It refers to the maximum number of clients that can be
connected.

Click OK to activate the AFP after you finish the AFP settings. The NAS setting
interface is displayed. In addition, the modified AFP information is displayed on
the interface.
