4.3 User’s Kit
A group of pre-designed messages called a
“user’s kit” are available for specific sign
types. Custom designed user’s kits are
available for purchase for other sizes.
The sign sizes that include kits are
Galaxy: 8x80, 8x64, 8x96
Galaxy & SunSpot: 16x64, 16x80, 16x96
Galaxy & Sunspot: 24x64, 24x80
To load the user’s kit, click on [
USER ’ S
KIT ], and follow the instructions on the
screen. A new directory containing the
messages will be added for the sign size
(refer to Section 5.1).
4.4 Security
Click on [ SECURITY ] from the Configuration
window or press < ALT >< E >. The Security
Configuration dialog box appears.
A supervisor password set within the Venus 1500
software prevents unauthorized or accidental
alteration of the sign configuration.
Profanity protection is designed to prevent
profane, indecent or obscene text from displaying
on Venus 1500 controlled signs. When the
Profanity Protection feature is activated, the
Venus 1500 software automatically scans the text
of messages for questionable words when they are saved in the Message Editor (refer to
Section 5). If a profane word is found, the message cannot be saved.
4.4.1 Password
Once the configuration of the system has been set up, a supervisor password can be set
to prevent unauthorized or accidental alteration of the sign configuration. Click on
[
PASSWORD ] or press < ALT >< P > to create or change a password.
Creating a New Password
To create a new password (one did not exist before), type the password in the New
Password box and then in the Retype New Password box.

key on the keyboard.
