ದ Have the front and rear brake fluid replaced according to the service plan in an authorized KTM workshop.

ದ Dispose of oil, grease, filters, fuel, cleaning substances, brake fluid, batteries, etc. according to regulations.

KTM recommends DOT b5.1 brake fluid from Motorex ® . This has a higher wet boiling point than DOT b4 brake fluid and provides
greater safety for high demands.
Never user DOT
b5 brake fluid! This is based on silicone oil and is colored purple. Oil seals and brake lines are not designed for
DOT b5 brake fluid.
Avoid contact between brake fluid and painted parts. Brake fluid attacks paint!
Use only clean brake fluid from a sealed container!

ದ Move the brake fluid reservoir mounted on the handlebar to a horizontal position.
ದ Remove screws b  .
ದ Remove the cover b  with membrane b  .
ದ Top up brake fluid to level b .
Specification
Measurement of b 5 bmm (0.2bin)
Brake fluid DOT 5.1 ( P. 114)
ದ Check parts for damage and wear. Replace damaged or worn parts.
ದ Position the cover with membrane. Mount and tighten screws.
Info
Clean up overflowed or spilt brake fluid immediately with water.

Checking the front brake linings
Warning

ದ Worn brake linings should be replaced immediately in an authorized KTM workshop.

ದ Check the brake linings for minimum thickness b .
» Minimum thickness b : ุb1bmm (ุb0.04bin)
If the minimum thickness is less than specified:
ದ Change the front brake linings. ( P. 59)
