Filling up with gear oil b

Too little gear oil or poor-quality oil results in premature wear to the transmission.

ದ Remove the screw cap b  and fill up with gear oil.
Gear oil 0.9 bl (1bqt.) Engine oil (SAE 10W/50) ( P. 114)
ದ Mount and tighten screw cap b  .
Danger
Danger of poisoning ಘExhaust gases are poisonous and can result in uncon-
sciousness and/or death.
ದ When running the engine, always make sure there is sufficient ventila-
tion, and do not start or run the engine in a closed space.
ದ Start the engine and check that it is oil-tight.
ದ Check the gear oil level. ( P. 81)

ದ Remove gear oil level check screw b  .

ದ Remove screw cap b  . Stand the vehicle upright.
ದ Top up with gear oil until it flows out of the bore of the gear oil level screw.

ದ Mount and tighten the gear oil level check screw.
