5. Set the drying parameters for your chosen control scheme:

• To set parameters for the time scheme, see

Setting the Time Scheme in Staged Batch, page

64

.

To set parameters for the temperature scheme, see

Setting the Temperature Scheme in Staged

Batch, page 65

.

• To set parameters for the time and temperature scheme, see

Setting the Time and Temperature

Scheme in Staged Batch, page 66

.

• To set parameters for the dual-setpoint time scheme, see

Setting the Dual-Setpoint Time

Scheme in Staged Batch, page 67

.

To set parameters for the dual-setpoint temperature scheme, see

Setting the Dual-Setpoint

Temperature Scheme in Staged Batch, page 68

.

NOTE: See

appendix B, page 87

for illustrative descriptions of all the control schemes in staged

batch.

6. Configure the plenum temperature setpoints, see

Setting the Plenum Temperature Range, page 35

.

7. On the control panel, place the Fan, Heater, Load Auger, and Unload Auger switches to Auto.

8. Press Start on the control panel.

Tip

To optimize the drying process in the full-heat operation, you can let the dryer run while dry grain unloads,
by placing the Heater switches to the On position instead of Auto.

Tip

To optimize the cooling process in the dry and cool operation, you can let the cooling fans run at the
bottom of the dryer while dry grain unloads, by placing the respective Fan switches to On instead of Auto.

Setting the Time Scheme in Staged Batch

To expose the grain to heat for a predefined length of time, you can use the time control scheme when run-
ning in staged batch.

Before You Begin

Make sure to select the Time control scheme in the Moisture Control Mode window (see

Drying Grain in

Staged Batch, page 63

for details).

To set the time control scheme in staged batch:

1. If the dryer is running, press Stop on the control panel.

IMPORTANT: To stop the dryer when connected remotely, click Stop Dryer from the main menu.

However, once stopped, you cannot restart it remotely. The dryer can only be
restarted on-site.

2. From the menu pane, click Control→Moisture Control Settings.

3. Set the following parameter:

Drying Time — The timer that must elapse to end the drying phase.

Let’s assume that you enter the following values:
