Vision N2 Parameters for Portable Dryers

Vision N2 Parameters for Portable Dryers

The menus in your dryer’s graphical interface contain parameters that are used to control a wide range of
operating features. This section lists all of these parameters and provides a brief description of each one.

Wet Sensor Calibration (Loading Menu)

Incoming Grain Moisture — The wet grain’s actual moisture level (%).

Incoming Grain Temperature — The wet grain’s actual temperature (°F; °C)

Out of Grain Timer (Loading Menu)

Out of Grain Timer — The timer that starts once the load auger begins to turn and stops when the dryer
wet bin is full. If it elapses, a shutdown message alerts you that the wet grain storage bin supplying the
dryer is empty. The Load Auger switch must be in the Auto position for the out of grain timer to work.

Plenum Setpoints (Drying Menu)

Plenum Setpoints — The desired temperature inside the plenum. In a multi fan and heater configuration,
plenum 1 always refers to the one that is closest to ground level.

Plenum Setpoints for Stages 1 and 2 (Drying Menu)

Plenum Setpoints for Stage 1 — In the dual-setpoint temperature control scheme in staged batch, the
first of two temperature setpoints within the same plenum. The grain temperature must reach this setpoint
before switching to the plenum setpoint for stage 2.

Plenum Setpoints for Stage 2 — In the dual-setpoint temperature control scheme in staged batch, the
last of two temperature setpoints within the same plenum. The plenum temperature switches to this set-
point only after the grain temperature reaches the plenum setpoint for stage 1.

Cooling Timer (Cooling Menu)

Cooling Timer — The length of time that the fans run to cool the grain. This timer is only available in
staged batch mode.

Cool-Down Time (Cooling Menu)

Cool-Down Time — The length of time that the fans run following a shutdown error, except when shut-
downs related to the plenums, high grain temperatures, and fan motor overloads occur; in these instances,
the cool-down time is not in effect. This timer is only available in staged batch mode.
