Displays firmware version information.
SYNOPSIS
version
DESCRIPTION
Use this command to display firmware version information and build dates.
The command output includes the following:
Kernel
The version of switch kernel operating system.
Fabric OS
The version of switch Fabric OS.
Made on
The build date of firmware running in switch.
Flash
The build date of firmware stored in flash proms.
BootProm
The version of the firmware stored in the boot PROM
Usually the Made on and Flash dates are the same, because the switch starts running flash firmware at
power-on. However, in the time period between firmwareDownload and the next reboot, the dates can
differ.

To display the firmware version information in a switch:
switch:admin> version
Kernel: 2.6.14.2
Fabric OS: v7.2.0
