To install the Cache Accelerator in the Processor and Memory Module, refer
to one of the following installation sources:

For a text and illustrated procedure, refer to the documentation provided
with the option kit.

For an overview of the installation, see the following procedure.

1. If the server is on, place it in Standby and disconnect the power cord or

cords.

2. Remove the Processor and Memory Module. See Chapter 3, “Server

Access.”

WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot surfaces, allow the
internal system components to cool before touching them.

3. Loosen the thumbscrew of the middle air baffle and lift the baffle

upward to allow access to the Cache Accelerator slots.

4. Locate the Cache Accelerator slot.

NOTE: The Cache Accelerator modules are keyed to ensure correct alignment.
