Installing the Remote Insight Lights-Out
Edition
The Remote Insight Lights-Out Edition should be installed into slot 9 of the
server with the adapter cable connected to it.
1. If you have not powered up the server for the first time, skip to step 4. If
you have powered up the server, back up your server data.
2. Shut down the operating system as directed in your operating system
instructions.
3. Power down the server and disconnect the power cables.
4. Open the top access panel as shown in Chapter 3, “Server Access.”
5. Press on the top of the slot 9 release lever

and open the lever toward
the rear of the expansion slot
.
6. Remove the expansion slot cover
.
7. Open the air baffle
.
