Adding Non-Hot-Plug Expansion Boards
You can use non-hot-plug expansion boards in the ProLiant DL760 server, but
you must install them according to the following procedure. Prepare the server
by performing the following:
1. Back up your server data.
2. Shut down the operating system as directed in your operating system
instructions.
3. Power down the server.
4. Slide the I/O module out and open the top access panel.
To add an expansion board:
1. Open the top access panel.
2. Press on the top of the appropriate expansion slot release lever
and
open the lever toward the rear of the expansion slot
.
3. Remove the expansion slot cover
.
4. Open the air baffle
.
