4. Use the controls to complete the configuration, as described in the following table.

5. Click Apply to Working to apply these settings to the specified interface.

When you apply page settings, the values are applied to the running configuration
but not saved permanently. The Save Configuration icon displays a flashing
orange arrow to remind you to save your configuration.

6. To save the settings permanently, click Save.

To revert to the running configuration, click Reset.

Setting Static
Network Routes

You set static network routes for HP EFS WAN Accelerator traffic in the Routing page.

Static network routes set the main routing table so that rules for the auxiliary interface
are possible.

Complete static route configuration only if your network requires additional static
network routing rules.

Control

Description

Settings will be applied to
appliance

Select the appliance for which you want to view or modify the configuration from the
drop-down list.

AUX Interface Enabled

Check this box to enable the auxiliary interface. Auxiliary interface provides an
additional management interface for a secondary network. You cannot have the Primary
and Auxiliary ports on the same subnet. You cannot use the Auxiliary port for out-of-path
appliances.

IP Address

Get IP address automatically? Check this box to obtain the IP address from a dynamic
host configuration protocol (DHCP) server.

If you do not use a DHCP server to set the IP address, specify the following settings:

IP Address. Type an IP address in the text box.

Subnet Mask. Type a subnet mask in the text box.

Additional Interface Settings

Speed. Select the speed from the drop-down list to set the speed for the auxiliary
interface. The default value is Auto.

Duplex. Select Auto, Full, or Half from the drop-down list to set the duplex speed for the
auxiliary interface. The default value is Auto.

MTU. Type a Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) value in the text box. The MTU is the
largest physical packet size, measured in Bytes, that a network can transmit.
