Enabling IPsec support makes it difficult for a third party to view your data or pose as
a machine you expect to receive data from. You must also specify a shared secret to
enable IPsec support. To enable IPsec authentication you must have at least one
encryption and authentication algorithm specified. Only optimized data is protected,
pass-through traffic is not.
Enabling IPsec support is optional.
To enable
authentication and
encryption 1. Click the Setup Appliances tab to expand the Setup Appliances menu.
2. Click Appliance Specific in the left menu to expand the Appliance Specific
configuration menu.
3. Click Encryption in the left menu to display the Authentication & Encryption
page.
