Settings

The step mode

The step mode can be set by the user by
means of dip switches 1, 2 and 3. To do this, it
is necessary to open the rear cover of the
motor. The motor is set to full step when supĆ
plied from the factory. If actuation is made
with a PLC from Festo (SPC200), only full step
and half step will be supported.

Please note

If half, quarter, fifth, eighth or tenths of a
step are used, this will result in other
positioning paths.

The current setting

The setting is made with the dip switches 4, 5
and 6.

Please note

S Set only the current actually required.

The motor must not lose a step when it is
operated at maximum load. A current set
too high will have a negative effect on
the running noise and will heat the
motor unnecessarily.

The current reduction I−red

In order to reduce the thermal loading of the motor when it is stationary, the phase
current is automatically reduced by 70 % after a cycle interval of 80 ms.
