8 Commissioning
Commissioning the MTRE−ST
S Set the string current in accordance with section The current setting."
S Set the desired step angle in accordance with section The step mode."
S Check that the step angle set is taken into consideration by your position
controller. (See also the manual for the stepper motor indexer module for the
SPC200.)
When all connections have been made (see chapter 7), the power supply can be
switched on. The connected motor may perform a step at this stage. For this reaĆ
son we recommend that the motor be disconnected from the load in order that a
test run can be carried out.
Caution
Before the motor is operated, make sure that the brake is opened by applying
+24 V DC.
Please note
All the settings which you carry out on the MTRE−ST will not become effective
until the power supply is switched off and then on again.
