flows through the given meter opening at a nearly uniform rate regardless of roller speed. Your actual rate will vary
depending upon the insecticide you are using, your planting speed and your plant population. Planting speed/ground
speed has the greatest effect on application rate.
Your actual rate must be checked in the field with the actual insecticide that you are using and at the speed and
population at which you will be planting. See “Checking granular Chemical Application Rate” page for additional
information.
