Change Formatted Variable With

[CTRL][F]

Use [CTRL][F] to change the formatting parameters of a variable.
Place the cursor under the symbol for the variable you want to
change, then press [CTRL][F]. The software will ask you to modify
any one or more of the 3 formatting parameters:

Variable Size

1 to 7 (including decimal point)

Decimal Point Position
(number of placed after the
decimal point)

0 to 6 (the maximum value is one less
than the variable size selected above)

Suppress Zeroes
(appearing in front of the
first significant digit)

Yes or No

Insert ASCII or BCD Variable With

[CTRL][W]

Send a single word ASCII or BCD variable for insertion into a
message. Use [CTRL][W] to specify the insertion position.
The software will prompt you to specify either ASCII or BCD.
The software inserts the symbol for an ASCII or BCD variable (↕).

Note: BCD data consists of 4 digits per word, and ASCII data
consists of 2 characters per word.

Note: Variables can be strung together to form compound variables
up to 20 ASCII or 40 BCD characters long in any combination as
long as the total does not exceed 10 words.
