Creating Message Files

Publication 2706-6.2

The Device menu allows you to configure the Offline Programming
Software to match the type of DL40 receiving downloaded message
files. You can change the selected device at any time the Develop
Menu bar appears.

When selecting a new device for an existing file, you will receive
error messages if the new device is incompatible with the messages
in the file. For example, if a message in the file requires 4 display
lines, you will not be able to select a two-line DL40.

This menu automatically pops up after you create a new file, so you
need access this menu from the Develop Menu bar only if you need
to change the type of DL40 selected.
